Construction Project Manager

The company defines the Project Management position as; providing the management and coordination of your team as necessary to ensure goals/expectations/profitability/etc. are met and/or exceeded.  

The ideal candidate will utilize personal skills, construction expertise, and a diligent work ethic to maintain and build upon existing and new revenue opportunities. The Project Manager will be responsible for a continued demonstration of appropriate skills and functions that include but are not limited to product presentations, product pricing, project management, internal and external communication. These activities are to result in net sales and profit growth by achieving project objectives.


  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all drawings, plan documents, addendum, submittals, RFIs and subcontractor bids throughout the duration of a project.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the project goals as relates to both ICS and its Client.  Manage the process necessary to deliver on project goals in terms of budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Work in conjunction with project superintendents to facilitate the procurement of subcontractors, vendors, labor and materials as necessary to achieve project goals, in terms of budget, schedule and quality.
  • Have a thorough understanding of all applicable building codes and their relation to a given project, as well as, understanding the building inspection process and having the responsibility to familiarize the project’s “team” with the requirements of the authorities within the project’s local jurisdiction.
  • Ensure a project’s schedule is initiated and maintained.   Communicate and distribute revised schedules to all applicable parties throughout the project’s duration.
  • Thoroughly document a project’s milestones and manage all project documentation between owner and construction team.
  • Approve vendor pay requests and procure necessary documentation to process payment.
  • Issue pay requests to owner on behalf of ICS and provide all required documentation.
  • Effective budget management.
  • Have a thorough understanding of project goals as relates to both ICS and its Clients.  Manage the process as necessary to deliver on these commitments.
  • Maintain consistent and professional correspondence with all client representatives, designers, subcontractors, vendors, co‐workers, etc.


  • Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four‐year college or university; or three to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in commercial construction is required.  
  • Computer Skills:
    • Excellent knowledge of PC based applications (Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; and Microsoft Outlook) is required.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Hiring, firing, development and daily management of direct reports.
